This hilarious television pilot is a bit like The Office in Oz, but with youngsters. Jeffrey Walker, with an impressive string of credits as both director and actor, directs.
Alex Wynters (Damien Freeleagus) has burnt too many bridges. Once the 'it' boy of Australian TV, Alex has fallen from grace, and now finds himself behind the auto-dial of WinePower; a call centre for wine that gives refuge to unemployed actors. But while his arrival inspires his new workmates to follow their dreams, Alex struggles to come to grips with the fact that, to all those people who used to watch him on TV, he's now just another telemarketer.
There are numerous writers and producers who also act in the project, so it's a true collaboration of Matt Okine, Lap Phan, Damien Freeleagus, Candice Storey, Marcus Pater and Andrew Ryan. There is a lot of talent to watch here and this pilot episode will get you laughing and wanting more.
