Bravely made in 1944, when the world was in turmoil, Charles Chauvel’s war-time action drama is moving and hard hitting. Bluey (Grant Taylor) is a tough-as-old-boots drover, Milo (Chips Rafferty) is a laid-back dingo trapper and Peter (Peter Finch) is an intellectual Brit. These unlikely soldiers all join the 2nd AIF at the outbreak of World War II and serve in North Africa, taking part in the siege of Tobruk. With New Guinea as their next destination, will they make it home to their loved ones?

Together the men serve in North Africa, fighting against the forces of Rommel at the Siege of Tobruk. Filmed on the sand dunes of Cronulla, in Queensland and in Papua New Guinea, and using documentary footage from a front-line cameramen, the film shows one of Australia's greatest WWII wartime legends and has a place in many hearts. Come and experience this journey with screen legends Rafferty and Finch, lest we forget.
