This environmental film lyrically documents the anti-whaling and environmental awareness campaign initiated by professional free-surfer and activist Dave Rastovich. Rastovich and his fellow campaigners sailed nearly 800km, tracing the southern path of migrating humpback whales from Byron Bay to Bondi Beach. The film shows their incredible personal interactions with whales during the journey. This thoughtful and, at times, provocative, film makes many stops along the Australian coastline and shows audiences the state of our beaches as well as the plight of these beautiful creatures.

+ Q&A session to follow screening.

This incredible film raises awareness of what mankind is doing to those beautiful creatures in the ocean. I remember being on a ship, looking out at the ocean off the coast of Alaska and all of a sudden seeing a Humpback whale and it's baby surface. It was one of the most beautiful sights I have ever experienced. This film depicts the vulnerability of these beautiful creatures, including the shark. It is more than a film, it is a call to action. Well done!
