2010 is the first year that Dungog has launched a television sidebar. We are thrilled to include Matt Okine and Lap Phan’s pilot episode for Not Available. Both writers have a background in stand-up comedy, with Matt winning Brisbane’s New Comic of the Year competition in 2005 and Lap taking out the Bangalow Big Joke Fest Competition in 2007. The film portrays the story of Germany paraglider, Ewa Wisnierska, who survived an encounter with a freak storm in 2007. Marcus Waters is ready to Kick Up Dust
We are excited to announce another inclusion to our In the Raw script readings, Kick Up Dust. Set in the tough world of bare fist boxing, the script sees Aboriginal cowboy, Elijah being reunited with his sister, Katie after a long absence. Marcus wrote this screenplay as a celebration of his own Aboriginality. This is a great opportunity for DFF to showcase Indigenous film talent. ... More
