Hundreds of talented NSW high school students sent us 'pitches' on the theme Tell Us Your Local Secret.
You bowled us over with your ideas and fertile imaginations. We love that the sky was the limit - some of the ideas could easily be made into feature films!
It has been hard choosing the following 14 shortlisted pitches. Please know that we value every single student who took the trouble to brainstorm and write and take part in this collaborative process. Don't despair, you can enter again for 2012. We are already excited to read your ideas for next year.
For now, we are thrilled to announce that the following schools have made it onto the shortlist for the 2011 DFF Oovie Student Film Project.
In alphabetical order:
Ascham School - Our Green Heart
Burwood Girls High School - The Secret on the Rooftops
Callaghan College - What A Weird World

We will be announcing the final 3 pitches on Monday February 28 (promise) and are just sorry we can't make all of the wonderful ideas submitted to us.
Please come and join us at the Dungog Film Festival on Friday 27 May for our Student Program Day.
We are putting together an amazing day for all students to come and enjoy workshops, screenings, master classes and seminars. And you'll be able to check out the final 3 films which will premiere on that day. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday March 1.
