Workshop I - Make a Movie
Learn how to make a movie in the time it takes to watch one. You will learn how to import footage, crop video clips, and add special effects to produce your own movie with iMovie, you will leave as an up-and-coming filmmaker with the movie you just made on DVD.   Fri 9-11am, Sunday 9-11am, Sun 1- 3:30pm | RAW Theatre, crn Chapman St & Dowling St

Workshop II - Film School
The editors chair is waiting. You supply the spark and we’ll show you the digital filmmaking techniques. Learn how to take advantage of open format Timelines, iMovie ‘08 compatibility and high-end effects to create your own pro-quality video using Final Cut Express.  Fri 3:30 - 5:30pm, Sat 9-11am  | RAW Theatre, crn Chapman St & Dowling St

The free workshops are the easiest way for anyone to learn about making movies and more on a Mac. Attendees must have intermediate computer skills and an interest in filmmaking. So grab a seat in the RAW Theatre on Dowling Street.

Take a trip through the new features of Adobe After Effects CS3, such as Brainstorm, Puppet Tool and new 3D text. Learn how the Puppet, Shape Layers and Brainstorm tools will change how you work and think about motion graphics and visual effects.

Take a step beyond with Adobe After Effects CS3, making use of some of the new tools see how you can take control of the image. Use the new features as well as some of the standard features to create effects and looks that are truly stunning.
