DFF AND OOVIE ARE PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE SHORTLIST. CLICK HERE FOR FULL LIST.

The Dungog Film Festival and Oovie want to give your school a head start in filmmaking. Every famous director, actor and writer first honed their skills on short films.

Our idea is simple:
  • Students come up with stories (aka 'pitches') for a 5 minute short film
  • All we require is a one page short film pitch (500 words approx)
  • The theme for the film idea is Tell Us Your Local Secret
  • Each school can submit up to three pitches (one or two is fine)
  • This is open to students aged 12-18yrs in high school
  • The breakdown of the pitch is; one paragraph on the idea for the story of the film (250 words approx) and one paragraph about the main characters in the film (250 words approx)
  • Deadline = Monday December 13, 2010 (midnight, E.D.S.T.)

One page, one great idea, one amazing secret and your school could end up with a package of sponsored goods and services valued at $47,600.

All entries will receive free passes to the 2011 Dungog Film Festival in the beautiful Hunter Valley.
